“If you make the Lord your refuge, if you make the most High your shelter, no evil will conquer you; no plague will come near your dwelling. For he orders his angels to protect you wherever you go. They will hold you with their hands to keep you from striking your foot on a stone.” Psalm 91:9-11
Have you ever felt this kind of protection before? The Psalmist tells us that as we find shelter in the Lord, he orders his angels to protect us; even keeping our feet from striking a rock! I’ve often imagined the barrier of angels around me in an unsure situation. And when I’ve encountered a “close call” moment, I know exactly who to thank.
But perhaps you are supposed to step out into the unknown, because God is calling you to something more. You’re afraid, unsure and have no knowledge of the outcome. That’s a lot of our lives, isn’t it?
Take shelter in the Lord today, friend. I can’t think of any other shelter that comes with it’s own “hand-holding” army of angels. You can trust him to walk you through whatever he’s calling you to!
